I'm currently a research scientist at OpenAI working on generalizing reinforcement learning on language models, and previously worked on deep learning at Harvard. I live in San Francisco and am an active pianist!
I'm interested in longevity science, human and machine intelligence, the material origin of consciousness, metalearning, intellectual history, contemporary music composition, language learning, and much more. I believe in capital-T Truth and that there are valid and invalid ways of accessing it. I'm in the business of trying to collect all knowledge, all qualia, and generally to become extraordinarily good at being alive.
